Kelly has worked exclusively with clay for the last 25 years as an artist. She creates both functional and decorative ceramic work.

Kelly has a BS in art education and has taught art all her adult life. She loves sharing her passion with others by teaching and exhibiting her work.

Kelly finds it incredible that something beautiful and functional can be made with something found in the backyard. Clay enables her to create in so many ways. Kelly works with stoneware and porcelain and is inspired by nature's textures, patterns, and forms. Her work is wheel-thrown, altered, and hand-built—Kelly fires in a reduction atmosphere to enhance the surfaces of the clay and glazes. Her functional ware is food safe and can be microwaved and washed in the dishwasher.

Kelly continues to take workshops and attend conferences to learn new skills and techniques. Her favorite thing besides creating the work is when a returning customer tells her how much they enjoy using her pottery. Kelly hopes you like her work and that you enjoy your purchases for years to come.
