Fiber Arts + Weaving
Weaving structures of intricate designs and rich colors.
Leslie Green
Using natural fibers to create distinctive pieces of beauty and elegance.
After a hiatus of 40+ years, Leslie Green rekindled her great passion for weaving in her
home studio in beautiful Brown County Indiana. Here, she keeps three floor looms busy
creating unique handwoven pieces of personal attire and houseware.
Rather than having a standard line of repeatable products, Leslie prefers to continually
explore a variety of new weaving structures of intricate designs and rich colors. Using
natural fibers, her goal is to create distinctive pieces of beauty and elegance.
In her Indiana Bird Song creations, Leslie dresses her loom to incorporate the recorded
sound patterns of a particular bird song with the distinct colors and patterns of its
plumage. To date, she has featured the Kestrel, Northern Flicker, Eastern Bluebird, and
Cerulean Warbler in this series.
