Gosport, Indiana-based artist Niki Gessler, has been honing her skills as a watercolor and oil portrait artist since 2010. Also a homesteader, Niki finds inspiration for her work in the natural world.

Niki shares her painting studio with seedlings, chicks, mealworm colonies, fodder, fermenting chicken feed, honey frames, and the year’s supply of potatoes. Her devotion to animals can be seen in her detailed portraits. Niki has painted at least one of every dog breed recognized by the American Kennel Club- and of course, many, many mutts.
